I think this site is great! I am also having difficulty with my back, having already had 2 previous operations. I will be going for a 3rd - inserting rods into my back. Would there be any females, who have already had this surgery to comment to me or who I could email and ask questions?

Webmaster's note: I don't know any females that have gone through the rods and screws placement, sorry, but I don't think it would be much different for either sex, except if you were pregnant. Arthur Davies RN

Addendum to above:

The only other consideration would be later in life as women have high rates of osteoporosis you might have to worry about screws loosing up and if the osteoporosis was real bad you might have to have the screws removed at that time. But as with all information concerning your own treatment it should be checked by your own orthopedic specialist or family doctor.

This site is great. I wish I found it 2 yrs ago. I had a 3 disc fusion, anterior-posterior 9-5-03. The rods and screws were removed on 11-39-04. I am still in pain from my muscles being too tight and I can not sit down without sharp pain to my tail bone. I feel we need more input from others with similar problems. The support is great.

Hello Folks This part of the website had been down for about eight months. This was caused by some people leaving porn links and other things I did not want to subject our visitors too, this was going on every day, sometimes five or six times a day. So we will try again to keep this part of the site up. We will continue to clean off any offensive material as fast as possible. We again thank you for visiting our website, hope you find it useful and informative. If you have any suggestions as content related to areas all ready being covered just let us know. Have new information on back pain, Smooth Fox Terriers or other related items just let us know and we will do some research and add appropriate information as needed. To the people who leave junk links, porn and other garbage please stop. How would you like it if someone was doing this to your website, would you like it being done to you?
